Guy Adams
Consultant
Gonser Gerber Tinker Stuhr LLP

For 20 years, Guy Adams has served in leadership positions with social welfare organizations and educational institutions. After graduating from Berea College (KY) with a BA in PR, he began his career with Christian Appalachian Project and oversaw a direct mail fundraising program of 22 million pieces annually. At Mothers Against Drunk Driving, he advised 400 chapters on fundraising activities and was responsible for corporate and foundation relations. For 15 years, Guy served higher education institutions and had responsibilities for all facets of advancement, including major gifts. As a vice president for development, he directed major gifts efforts, including staff training and strategy, and personally raised six and seven-figure gifts (current and deferred). As a consultant, he has worked with several clients to initiate and strengthen major gifts programs. Guy has expertise in high level major gifts practice, an approach referred to as the Donor Management Concept or Moves Management®.
