Ray Merenstein
Principal
RDM Communications, Inc.

Ray Merenstein has over twenty years of fundraising, public relations, issues management, lobbying and market research experience in academic, not-for-profit and corporate environments. After a decade of health care advocacy work in Washington, DC, he oversaw fundraising for The Children’s Hospital Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, Children’s Miracle Network, and The Children’s Hospital Research Institute as part of a $250 million capital and endowment campaign. He has served as lead consultant for environmental, housing, mental health, education and youth organizations for capital campaigns, branding, marketing and public affairs. He holds a Masters Degree in Mass Communication from the University of Florida. His expertise in media relations, special events and public outreach has garnered him the American Hospital Association`s Silver Touchstone and Circle of Distinction as well as awards in video, public affairs and fundraising programs.

Experienced in all facets of development, Kathy Miller provides counsel in the areas of campaign planning and management, major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, grants, special events and donor communications. She has over 20 years of fundraising, advocacy and nonprofit management experience with local, state, national and international clients. Her extensive experience in major gift solicitation campaigns extends to public relations, recruiting and training Board members and volunteers. Kathy has initiated major gift campaigns that have transformational results: increasing contributions by 67%, in one instance, and changing the culture of boards. She honed her talents in numerous professional experiences: consulting for Katherine R. Woods & Asso. and Public Interest Fundraising, staffing as Associate Director of the American Civil Liberties Union of IL and Development Director for the Evanston Community Foundation, training staff and lay leaders in 17 states for the national Fund Raising Faculty, volunteering on numerous non-profit Boards.
