Joy Cianci is Fannie Mae`s vice president for Grants and Program Initiatives. She reports directly to the senior vice president - Office of Community and Charitable Giving. Cianci is responsible for strategically leveraging corporate giving in support of Fannie Mae`s business goals, mission and objectives, and also oversees the group`s leadership programs and initiatives, and employee engagement activities. Cianci has been with Fannie Mae since 1993 and previously served in Fannie Mae`s Community Development group of the Housing and Community Development organization, on the eBusiness team and in the Legal Department.
Donohue has 27 years of senior management experience in fundraising and communications. At the United Negro College Fund he serves as Executive Vice President for Development overseeing fundraising, branding and communications nationwide. Among his recent highlights at UNCF are the successful launch of their new brand identity and winning the prestigious NAACP Image Award for the nationally televised An Evening of Stars® Tribute to Stevie Wonder. Previous positions include VP for Institutional Advancement at Dillard University, Executive Director of Development at the University of Texas, San Antonio, AVP for Development at the University at Stony Brook, and SVP and Campaign Director for the United Way of Long Island. He serves on the Sallie Mae Fund Foundation Advisory Board and the editorial Board of several professional publications. He did his undergraduate and graduate studies at the SUNY at Oswego as well as professional programs at Harvard Graduate School.
Susan Gaffney has nearly 15 years of experience in nonprofit management ranging from program development and operations to fundraising. Currently she works for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the largest consumer-centered mental health advocacy group in the country. In her role as Manager of External Relations, Susan works with corporations to support the work of NAMI and is focused on diversifying corporate partners to include more non-vested interests. Prior to her work with NAMI, Susan was the Director of Strategic Partnerships for the DC Program of New Leaders for New Schools where she oversaw a 50% increase in fundraising revenue. Susan holds a master`s degree in Nonprofit Management and Urban Policy from the New School.
