Speakers for this session:

Robb Pike
Director of Development
Colorado College

Robb has worked in the field of development for more than ten years. He started his career at the United Way of Loveland Colorado as a Loaned Executive helping complete the first million-dollar campaign. Next he worked for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of Seattle organizing the MS Walk, and MS Bike Ride. Later, Robb worked with United Way in Seattle as part of the major gifts staff. He then worked for the United Way of the National Capital Area in D.C. In his current position, Rob is working on the final phase of a $300 Million Capital Campaign. This requires Robb to engage potential donors in six, seven, and eight figure conversations. Robb earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mesa State College. He is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE).

Laura Rosseisen
VP, Development
Arthritis Foundation

Laura Rosseisen has spent over 20 years working in the Denver non-profit and education community, including 10 years teaching and working in Catholic high schools and 10 years on the staffs of the Children’s Museum of Denver and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. In her current position at the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, Laura oversees a team responsible for maintaining diverse revenue streams that include major and annual gifts, special events, corporate giving, direct mail and planned giving. Recent efforts have focused on involving key volunteer leadership in the major gift effort, particularly in donor cultivation and stewardship. Laura earned a B.A. in journalism from Arizona State University and an MA.Ed. from the University of Colorado. A member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, she joined the Arthritis Foundation staff in October, 2005.

Maureen Silva
Associate Vice Chancellor & Campaign Director
University of Denver

In her current position, Maureen provides leadership for the University’s $600M comprehensive campaign, of which over $185M has been raised in 3 years. Silva has a 22-year tenure in the development field. She joined DU in 2005 to manage the Morgridge College of Education’s comprehensive campaign, raising $34M in 18 months. Silva served Colorado School of Mines from 1995 to 2005, lastly as Associate Vice President & Assistant Campaign Director for the university’s $125M comprehensive campaign. From 1990 to 1995, she led Capital University’s annual giving program during $60M comprehensive campaign. Silva began her fundraising career at the YWCA of Dayton, Ohio, from 1987 to 1990. Silva is a PhD candidate in higher education at the University of Denver. Her dissertation is titled, “Women Leaders Resolving Conflict in Higher Education: A Feminist Epistemological Perspective.”
